Rules and Regulations

Sponsored by Pittsburgh Corning, this program recognizes both residential and commercial designs where glass block is used as a design solution for either interior or exterior applications.

Eligibility:
Designs (either residential or commercial) must be submitted as SketchUp® files, with project material list file included, utilizing the Pittsburgh Corning EZ Design Glass Block Library. Designs must include glass block. Projects can be any size and in any of the following categories: residential - single or multi-family, new construction or remodeling, commercial, institutional, sports, education, government, healthcare, or industrial. More than one project may be submitted by the same person, and each submittal will be considered as a separate entry. Open to residents of the United States and Canada.

Awards:

National Winners:
Pittsburgh Corning management will judge design project entries. Two National Award winners will be selected and will each receive:
A) $1,000 in cash
B) Posting of the project, design, and designer information on the Pittsburgh Corning Glass Block website
C) Hyperlink to designer website (if applicable)

Judging Criteria:
A) Creative use of Pittsburgh Corning Glass Block in design
B) Aesthetic and visual impact of project
C) Utilization of Pittsburgh Corning Glass Block as a problem-solving/design solution

How to enter:
You are required to complete and submit the EZ Design Entry form along with your SketchUp 3D design file. Files must be in .skp format. Digital photos of completed projects may accompany SketchUp 3D design files but are not mandatory. Digital photos should be submitted as .jpg files.
